Our Aims

Our goal is to offer you electric motorbikes and other vehicles which are not just eco friendly, but fun, comfortable, and affordable. And we won’t stop there. We’ll be extending our range to include a sports model and a touring model, both of which will be EC approved. 

Why the Electric Motorbike?

You might be wondering what led us to make electric motorbikes. In fact, our journey began in China. The Wagster team has spent over a quarter of a decade splitting our time between the UK and one of China’s busiest cities, Shanghai. Over this period, we’ve seen electric motorbikes revolutionise the way Shanghai moves – for the better.

Mixing the practicality of a motorbike with zero emissions, electric motorbikes allow the rider to travel further in comfort and ease, all with barely an impact on the environment. Not to mention the fact they can easily navigate their way through narrow streets and traffic. 

With this in mind and seeing the increasing burden of traffic on UK streets, we knew we had to bring the Chinese electric motorbike to the UK. 

Making the Electric Motorbike Street Legal

Only motorbikes that comply with UK law can be driven on UK roads. Therefore, our challenge in bringing the electric motorbike to the UK was to find a way to adapt the Chinese version to meet these criteria. To learn more about this process, read our street legal electric scooter article. 

Working together with China’s top factories and liaising with the Vehicle & Operator Services Agency (VOSA), we successfully developed an electric motorbike which is UK compliant in every respect. So our electric motorbikes are fully UK street legal and come with a certificate of conformity (COC) to enable trouble-free registration.
